Our policy.

We take our users seriously. That’s why we took the time to create this webpage. When using our services, you’re bound to these terms.

Buyer Protection Policy

As a buyer or "client" on our platform, you're agreeing to be bound by our Buyer Protection Policy. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our site and Discord server.

Be aware that freelancers that use Freelaunch as a tool often have their own policies and terms. We recommend to all of our members to inquire with the freelancer before ordering.

As a buyer at Freelaunch you reserve the right to:

  • Reject services from (a) specific freelancer(s)
  • Close down a commission if the freelancer is not able to provide the described product
  • Close down a commission if the deadline has not been met

Please answer the freelancer within 48 hours of delivery. Being unable to do so will result in a permanent ban on our platform.

All transactions are final. Meaning you are not allowed to chargeback or open a dispute after the product has been delivered to you.

You cannot ask freelancers for pro bono work (aka "free work") on our platform. We try to maintain a high quality freelance community.

Freelaunch can not be held responsible for any damage caused to the end product. We advise to contact the freelancer in case of issues regarding the product. If the freelancer is unable to resolve the issue regarding your product, please contact our Support Team.

We strongly advise all of our members to be careful and to do research before ordering services off of a freelancer. We’re constantly trying to improve our security system. Freelaunch will, however, not be held responsible for attempted or committed fraud. If you see anything suspicious, please contact our Support Team.

Please note that committing fraud is illegal and therefore a punishable fact. Attempting fraud will have you removed from using any of our platforms.

Contractor Protection Policy

As a contractor or "freelancer" on our platform named Freelaunch, you're agreeing to be bound by our Contractor Protection Policy. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our site and Discord server.

In order to become a trusted freelancer, you should be aware of the Buyer Protection Policy too. Contractors are still free to create their own terms and policies but can't overwrite the Contractor Limitations listed below.

As a contractor at Freelaunch you reserve the right to:

  • Reject commissions by (a) specific buyer(s) before any transactions have been made
  • Refuse to deliver a product or service when no payments are on record
  • Choose your own rates. However, we don't allow freelancers who charge less than 5$/hour. This is to prevent contractors from underselling themselves.

Once the payment has been made, you're forced to deliver the product or service to the customer. If — for some reason — this is not possible, try to find a solution and contact the customer.

Once the deadline has been met, you have one more day to deliver a (semi-)final product. If the product isn't fully finished, please discuss with the client what steps you'll take to compensate.

We have plenty of experienced people in our Discord server you can chat with.

To focus on the payment part of freelancing. We advise all of our freelancers to work with a 50/50 payment structure. You'll ask the client to pay 50% of the total amount upfront, and 50% before delivering. This is not only to prevent fraud but also to make sure contractors don't work for free. Some clients tend to cut off before the final product is presented to them

When using PayPal as a payment gateway, we strongly suggest paying through Goods & Services. This will grant both Seller and Buyer Protection. The best way to protect yourself is to create an invoice, add the client's email, and what exactly you're going to deliver. Deliver the product to the email you sent the invoice to, via WeTransfer. WeTransfer will sent you proof of delivery which you can use to fight disputes.

We give our members the privilege to wait up to 48 hours to answer the contractor upon delivery. If you notice suspicious activity (ex. the client left the server), please contact our Support Team.
